Positions available: Director, Marine Safety and Security in the following regions: Vancouver (British Columbia), Winnipeg (Manitoba), St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador), Dartmouth (Nova Scotia), North York (Ontario), Ottawa (Ontario), Sarnia (Ontario), Québec (Québec).

Closing date for applications: February 16, 2018.

Duties: 

  • Lead the integrated delivery of the marine safety and security transportation program. 
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of a broad base of marine transportation safety and security regulations.
  • Serve as the prime interface and build collaborative relationships between the department, other federal departments, regional clients, stakeholders, provincial, territorial and municipal governments, Indigenous groups, and marine transportation agencies, marine industry, national and international maritime associations and organizations, foreign countries and public.
  • Lead specific files and issues; management of responsibilities, including planning, reporting, resource management and administration.
